    The Japan Museum of Contemporary Poetry and Literature aims to comprehensively collect, permanently preserve, and research Japanese poetry materials such as modern poetry, tanka, haiku, and senryu on a nationwide scale, as well as hold exhibitions and promote poetry literature. This is the only general literature museum in Japan specializing in poetry. Located in Kitakami City, which is surrounded by the flow of the Kitakami River, lush nature, and poetic culture, it is located in the Poetry Forest Park that decorates the city.Many visitors come from all over the country, and it is widely known as the Hall of Word Spirits.
